He attempted to shrug off the mixed feelings over his lover's work ethic and began fiddling with his jacket lapels. It was a pretty poor attempt at not facing his emotional state.

Moving to grab his empty glass he decided that if he drank, then he wouldn't have to speak about his bad feelings.
