Toby grins right back at the man as he plops down on his stool and leans an elbow on the table. "Well you could say no, seeing as I'm interrupting you." He points toward the pushed aside book with his drink before he takes a sip. "But that's hardly any fun. Drinking with new friends is always better, yeah?"

Okay, no, that's totally not true and Toby has been on the very bad side of that in recent months, but once you've been screwed over by the Joker it can't much worse. Right? God he hopes so.

"Name's Tobias, by the by," he offers once he's settled properly on his seat. "What can I get you to drink? I'd wager you like--" Toby pauses suddenly, inhaling an unnecessary breath through his nose to get a hint of some sort off the angel sitting across the table from him. Much to his surprise (and dismay, really), there's too many competing smells for him to choose from. Beelzebub somehow smells like an entire bar as they sit inside one. "...maybe no wager since I can't guess, but first round's still on me."
