"Cheaper and easier to get drunk on," he offers with a shrug. "It's easier than choosing to feel things and means I don't waste the good stuff when all I want is to blot everything out for a while." It's a very common thing for him these days. Perhaps less common after the his run in with the witch Joker was working with some months ago, but Toby still hates having and dealing with feelings. Getting so drunk he can't see straight for the next day or two is the easiest way to avoid doing just that.
An interesting way of talking about age and immortality. Toby arches an eyebrow at Beelzebub as he throws back his latest pour of whiskey. "So the rest of you will eventually pass on as well? Just... a very long time from now?" He tilts his head in a slightly exaggerated motion. "Like... when the universe ends?"
